Best Quality Digital
Cameras
Today many individuals and families are looking to replace
their old film-based cameras with one of the new digital
models.
There are several brands and each with several models
available to choose from. If you have a budget of under $400,
finding the best quality digital cameras can
be a bit frustrating. It can be an overwhelming task to weed
through all the features and prices to find the best quality
digital cameras in your price range. Features to compare and
consider are the resolution, optical zoom, movie capability,
pixels and more.
After deciding what brand and camera features are most
important to you as well as what type of photos you will be
taking you will need to do some online comparison shopping. You
will find that there are a number of best quality digital
cameras available within your budget whether it is in the under
$200 range or up to $400. We have found a few below for you to
consider.
Best quality Digital Cameras Under $200
The Canon PowerShot A590 IS, our favorite budget compact
camera, offers a number of advanced features such as face
detection, image stabilization, and some manual exposure
settings, within your $200 budget at $179.99. The only real
drawback here is a somewhat clunky, boring design. Still, if
you're a beginner, it's all you'll need. We also like the
inexpensive, $225, 12MP Fuji FinePix F50fd, which offers a
number of advanced automatic features, a high-quality LCD, and
comfortable controls.
The thoughtfully designed 8.1-megapixel Nikon Coolpix P60,
priced between $160 - $200, is a great buy. The little details
demonstrate the care taken during the design process that may
not be obvious at first. Though the P60 certainly has room for
improvement, it offers a number of innovative features that
make this compact camera exceptionally pleasant to use ond one
of the best quality digital cameras under $200.
Best Quality Digital
Cameras Under $400
Priced between $250 and $350, (shopping around pays off!)
the best quality digital camera we found for under $400 was the
Canon PowerShot SD790 IS. It incorporates Canon's signature
slick, pocketable design, motion-detection technology, with
sunset scene mode as well as producing some of the most
outstanding people pleasing images you can print. The SD790's
lens has a 6.2mm-to-18.6mm range (35mm film equivalent: 35mm to
105mm) with maximum f-stops of f/2.8 to f/4.9. It has a 3-inch
LCD and newly designed click-wheel control that is fast and
effective.
Another one of the best quality digital cameras we found
under $400 is the Sony's 10-megapixel Cyber-shot DSC-T300. It
is one of the few point-and-shoot cameras on the market that
features two of today's hottest consumer electronics buzzwords:
widescreen and touch screen. Its sprawling 3.5-inch LCD offers
an unmatched viewing experience when capturing photos in 16:9
aspect ratio (widescreen) mode. The jumbo LCD also doubles as a
touch-screen control panel, which lets you easily navigate
menus and adjust settings with the touch of a fingertip. Check
out this fun feature, while shooting, you can touch an object
or face on the screen and the camera will make the selected
object the focus of its shot. All these features help justify
the higher price tag.
The cameras we have featured above are just a few of the
best quality digital cameras we found. With a quick online
search you can find these cameras and others with great price
tags well within your budget and sure to satisfy.
